Our 20-Point Clinic Checklist
We cite this checklist all over the site, so here it is in full. Twenty things that have to be true before a practice can treat an Opus Smile patient - and that are re-checked while it is treating them.

The clinicians
-
01
Registration verified in person
Every treating dentist's Turkish Ministry of Health registration is checked against the register, not taken from a website biography.
-
02
Specialisation matched to the work
An implantologist places implants and a prosthodontist plans the smile. One generalist doing everything is the commonest reason a case goes wrong.
-
03
Named on your plan
You are told which clinician is doing your treatment before you fly, not introduced to them in the chair.
-
04
English without an interpreter
The person explaining a consent form has to speak the language you are consenting in.
Imaging and planning
-
05
CBCT on site
Three-dimensional imaging in the building, not a referral across town, so bone is assessed before anything is promised.
-
06
Intraoral scanning
Digital impressions rather than trays of alginate - more comfortable, and far more accurate for full-arch work.
-
07
Guided surgery where the case calls for it
Available and used when the anatomy warrants it, rather than advertised and never opened.
-
08
A written plan before treatment starts
Itemised, in pounds, with the number of visits stated.
Sterilisation and safety
-
09
Class B autoclaves
The standard capable of sterilising hollow and wrapped instruments - the only one adequate for surgical dentistry.
-
10
Cycle logs we can read
Records kept, dated and produced on request during an audit.
-
11
Single-use where single-use belongs
Burs, needles, suction tips and gloves, without exception.
-
12
Separate surgical suite
Implant surgery does not happen in the room where a hygienist worked an hour earlier.
-
13
Emergency drugs and oxygen in date
Checked, and the team trained to use them.
Materials and the laboratory
-
14
Named brands, never categories
Straumann, NTA Swiss, E-max, zirconia - written on your plan. "Premium implant" is not a material.
-
15
Traceability
Batch and lot numbers recorded against your file, so a UK dentist can identify what is in your mouth years later.
-
16
Laboratory standard
We look at where the crowns are actually made, what the remake time is, and whether the technician ever sees the patient.
-
17
No substitution
What is quoted is what is fitted. A change requires your agreement in writing.
Afterwards
-
18
Records released to you
Scans, radiographs and the treatment plan, as files you keep.
-
19
A guarantee that survives the flight home
Terms in writing, honoured through us in the UK rather than requiring you to return.
-
20
Reviewed on our own patients
Everyone we send is asked afterwards, and the answers go back to the clinic. Where a standard slips we raise it; where it is not fixed, we stop sending people.
What this is not
It is not an accreditation, and we do not pretend it is one. It is our own audit, done by us, in our own interest as much as yours - a clinic that produces bad outcomes costs us more than it costs itself.
If a point here matters to you and you want the evidence for your own clinic, ask. We would rather answer than be believed on trust.
Tell us what you need. We will price it in writing.
One message and a coordinator replies with an indicative plan and price. Send a photograph of your smile if you have one - it makes the answer better, and it is never a call unless you ask for one.
Would rather talk it through? Book a free consultation, see every price first, or design your smile on your own photograph.
